Calculating Your Tuition Fees

All continuing students will remain on the same fee rate as when first enrolled on the programme.

You are required to re-enrol on the anniversary of your first enrolment date for each subsequent year, paying the full years' fee, until nearing completion of your thesis.

Thesis Pending status may be granted for a maximum of 12 months when you are writing up the final version of your thesis with a view to submit for viva examination.  Thesis pending status only applies to MPhil/PhD students.  If you have not submitted for examination within this period, the standard annual fee will apply thereafter.  No fees are due between thesis submission and first examination.

If following first examination you are required to make either minor or substantive amendments, but are not required to be re-examined, no further fees will be charged.

If following first examination you are given the opportunity to be re-examined for the degree, you will be liable to pay fees equivalent to the Thesis Pending fees level on a pro rata basis for each full or part month of registration up until the point of resubmission of the revised thesis.

Changes to the interruption of study fees

A student’s anniversary of enrolment will be re-calculated according to the length of the period of interruption.

Tuition fee liability in the interruption year will be calculated at 100% of the full tuition fee rate for that year of enrolment.

Students interrupting shall not be liable for tuition fees until their re-calculated anniversary of enrolment.
