Study Abroad

For students who would like to participate in a study exchange outside of Europe, the University of Lincoln has a growing number of partners worldwide, including in the USA, Canada, Mexico, Brazil, China, and Japan.

Who can study abroad?

To study abroad as an outgoing student you must:

  • Study in a School or on a programme which has a link with an international partner institution
  • Be registered at the University as an undergraduate, postgraduate or doctoral student
  • Have successfully completed your first year of undergraduate study
  • Have sufficient academic and linguistic ability (where necessary) to be able to benefit from a study period abroad
  • Be nominated by your School to take part in the scheme – speak to your exchanges coordinator about the application process.

Choosing your programme for incoming students

We recommend that students choose from one programme at one level to allow for timetabling restrictions. However, students may be able to select modules from across the University to enrich their experience, subject to timetabling and approval.

Students must meet any pre-requisites stated in the module description. If students do select modules from across the four University Colleges, then at least half the academic programme must be based in one subject area.

Study programmes will be finalised once enrolment has been completed. Admission to any University of Lincoln module is at the discretion of the admitting School.

“The study and teaching methods in Lincoln are very agreeable. The professors are very polite and the university is an attractive option for international students. The students feel complete when studying at the University of Lincoln.”

Ana Maria Barcelos Guerra, Brasil.
