How to enrol

New students and existing students will need to enrol at the start of the academic year.

New Students

As an unconditional offer holder, we are delighted to be welcoming you to the University of Lincoln. In preparation for your journey, these guides have been designed to help you understand what you will need to do next.

Pre-Departure Guide for International Students

Arrivals Guide

Before enrolling you should check the personal details we hold for you, and update them if necessary. This can be done through the University’s virtual learning platform, Blackboard. New students will also need to upload a passport-style photo so that we can produce your ID card in advance, ready for you to collect at enrolment.

To formally enrol, visit the Arrivals Lounge on campus. It is very important you enrol as soon as you can. Continuing students should ensure that they have received an email saying they are required to progress onto the next year of study before arriving. The University must comply with the Home Office and report your Visa if you fail to enrol and attend your classes which could lead to the cancellation of your visa. If you are unexpectedly delayed, you should email the Tier 4 Compliance Team at tier4visa@lincoln.ac.uk as soon as possible.

It is important that you bring the following documents with you to enrol:

  • Passport (this must show your entitlement to study with a licensed sponsor in the United Kingdom)
  • Your United Kingdom Biometric Residence Permit (if applicable)
  • Evidence of any tuition payments you have made
  • Evidence of any University scholarships which you have been awarded.
