The School of Health & Social Care combines high quality teaching with research and has established itself as the largest provider of social work in the region, making a major contribution to the social care workforce both regionally and nationally.
We have a policy of encouraging access to higher education and the caring professions for people from a wide range of social backgrounds. Some have just left school and college, whilst others have been out of full-time education for a considerable period of time but bring with them a variety of life and work experiences. We welcome this variety and strive to offer a supportive and friendly environment.
