Tractor Driving & Related Operations

This course is designed for anyone who drives a tractor with or without implements as part of their work. The aim of the course is to give trainees the confidence to drive and handle a wheeled tractor and thus become a safe and competent operator.

The course will cover:

  • The legal and safety aspects relating to the use of tractors
  • Pre-driving checks and preparing the vehicle for work
  • Hitching trailer and three point linkage implement to the tractor
  • Safe driving of the tractor over various types of ground.

This two day course (9am - 5pm) is followed by assessment. Candidates will be informed of the date and time of assessment during the course. Please note that each course consists of four candidates, ensuring that individual needs can be met.

You will need to bring the following with you:

  • Packed lunch
  • Writing material
  • Suitable outdoor clothing
  • One passport photograph of yourself.

Accommodation is not available on campus but a list of hotels can be provided on request.

Please note that we reserve the right to charge full fees if you cancel your place on a course within two weeks prior to the course start date.
