A two-day course to support teachers, technicians and lecturers of secondary science and biology 1-2 July 2009
The School of Natural & Applied Sciences at the University of Lincoln has developed a two-day CPD course specifically for those teaching microbiology and biotechnology in secondary schools and colleges. The course will refresh your knowledge of microbiology and biotechnology and provide practical ideas for use in your classroom.
Participants will work in state-of-the-art science laboratories.
The course will consist of a mixture of demonstration and hands-on experience of a range of techniques relevant to microbiology and biotechnology in schools and colleges, and will include:
- Basic microbiological techniques
- Successful microbiology in schools and colleges
- Fermentation investigations
- DNA technology
- Electrophoresis
- Microscopy
- Tips, tricks & ideas
The cost of the two-day course is £250, including course notes, lunch and refreshments. Places are limited so we would suggest booking early to avoid disappointment.
