Designed for trainers in manufacturing industries, the programme introduces delegates to the principles of demonstration and assessment techniques appropriate to vocational training.
Delegates are asked to prepare a project which includes:
- Skills analysis of a practical task
- Setting SMART objectives
- Designing a training structure
- Selecting instructional techniques
- Assessment and feedback.
The programme aims to develop competence in applying the skills of demonstration and instruction to enable effective learning within a food/product manufacturing context.
he programme focuses on developing participants’ ability to undertake effective skills analysis, and devise effective instruction plans. Example demonstrations may include how to use a particular piece of equipment, or any other work based skill. Instructional techniques for vocational training provides delegates with the techniques on how to plan and pace demonstrations, how and when to involve trainees, how to identify the most appropriate learning style for individuals, how to give constructive feedback and how to evaluate and monitor training.
