This two day course, followed by the NPTC assessment is designed to meet the individual needs of employers and operators who use telescopic lift trucks.
The course fulfils the requirements of the Health and Safety Executive Codes of Practice for operator training.
The course will include instruction on:
- Maintenance
- Controls and instruments
- Visual checks
- Stability
- Load centres
- Rating and de-rating
- Driving
- Braking/accelerating
- Position
- Turning
- Straightening
- Pallet work
- Loading
- Stacking
- Undercutting
- Lorry/vehicle loading and unloading.
The NPTC qualification can be used as evidence for:
- NVQ Level 2
- Agriculture wages board craft certificate
- Compliant with HSE and Iisurance companies
Requirements:
Writing materials
Own PPE to be worn
1 passport photo
Packed lunch, flask tea/coffee (alternatively refreshments can be bought from the restaurant on campus)
Accommodation is not available on campus but a list of hotels can be provided on request
