FEPA Pesticide Application 6 (Knapsack)

The Food & Environment Protection Act requires that persons born after the 31 December 1964 obtain a certificate to prove that they are competent to apply pesticides. Any person of any age who applies pesticides on contract work is also required to have a certificate.

This course is designed for the various hand-held applicators and covers the following aspects:

  • Safe practice
  • Calibration
  • Decontamination
  • Handling and mixing
  • Environmental
  • Application.

This one day course is followed by the NPTC assessment. Details of the date and time of assessment will be given on the day of the course.

You will need to bring the following with you when you attend for the course:

  • Writing materials
  • NPTC Schedule of Standards
  • Coveralls
  • Wellingtons
  • Protective toecaps
  • Face shield
  • Nitrile gloves
  • NRoSO CPD record.

This course has been awarded 12 NRoSO CPD points. Breakdown: 4E, 6AP, 2CP.

Accommodation is not available on campus but a list of hotels can be provided on request.
