This is a one day theoretical course covering introductory food microbiology.

The course is intended for non-microbiologists who have no previous knowledge, and can be tailored to suit the needs of delegates. It covers the growth and control of major food pathogens and spoilage organisms,

During the course, you will learn about:

  • Microbial growth
  • Major pathogens and spoilage organisms such as bacteria, moulds, yeast and viruses
  • The control of micro-organisms by removal, inhibition and destruction
  • Microbial specifications.
