All Terrain Vehicle (ATV) Handling
This course is designed to meet the individual needs of employers and operators who use all terrain vehicles, to ensure that the candidate reaches the required standard in the safe riding and handling of an ATV in an off-road situation.
The course covers:
- Safe driving techniques and legal requirements
- Daily maintenance routines
- Pre-start checks
- Driving an ATV around a specified course, on slopes and with a trailer
- Safe parking
- Cleaning and checking.
There will be a practical assessment.
You will need to bring the following with you when you attend for the course:
- Packed lunch
- Flask tea/coffee
- 1 passport photograph
- PPE: Correctly fitting crash helmet to BS 6658/1985
- Goggles, gloves, overalls and strong boots.
Training can also be provided on your own premises.
Accommodation is not available on campus but a list of hotels can be provided on request
