MA Theology and Ministry Studies
MA School of Theology & Ministry Studies Lincoln Please Tel.01522 529241Introduction

The School specialises in providing ministerial training validated by the Ministry Division of the Church of England and Formation in Ministry in the Methodist Church. Postgraduate studies are ideal for those who want to work at an advanced level in pursuit of their own life-long learning and faith development. They also support the professional development for those engaged in full-time and part-time ministry in the Church.
The MA in Theological Reflection and Ministry Studies is designed to support those undertaking professional development as stipendiary or non- stipendiary ordained ministers, Readers and Local Preachers in the Christian Church in Lincolnshire, for those engaging in work in a predominantly Christian environment (education, administration, chaplaincy etc) and for those who want to study theology at postgraduate level for their own personal interest or spiritual and personal development.
The programme is designed to promote and enable a critical dialogue between the contexts provided by contemporary experience and the sacred texts and traditions of the Christian faith which finds expression in reflective theological practice. Each module therefore begins with a critical, inter-disciplinary investigation of the student’s relevant context, supports theological reflection on and in that context, and examines how that can be expressed in practice. Integral to the programme is the idea of the participant as a reflective practitioner.
