Introduction
The MSc in Sport Science exploits the School’s expertise in biomechanics, physiology and psychology. It provides students with a broad understanding and practical experience across these areas and gives them the opportunity to specialise in a chosen discipline.
Course Aims
This inter-disciplinary programme is designed around core modules that develop your knowledge and skills in sport science as well as in research methods and design. The flexibility of the course enables the individual to build expertise in biomechanics, physiology and psychology and to choose to develop a critical specialism, or to continue to study across these academic disciplines. A range of real-world assessments emphasise the practical application of sport science knowledge.

Assessment
The broad range of assessment methods for this programme includes an applied support portfolio, delivery of a workshop, applied practical assessments, written reports, a debate and a dissertation.

The breadth of the material and applied experiences covered in the programme will prepare graduates for a range of career opportunities, including sport science support, research or teaching in sport science, physical education or related areas.
Entry Requirements
A good honours degree in sport science or a related discipline, plus a successful performance in interview. Applicants with exceptional and extensive professional work experience in a sport-related field will also be considered for entry into the programme.
