MSc Lincoln School of Computer Science Lincoln Good first degree or MScIntroduction
The Lincoln School of Computer Science has a rapidly growing international research reputation – we scored highly in the RAE 2008 with 85% of our research ranked at international quality or better, and with 15% ranked in the highest "world-leading" category.
We conduct a blend of fundamental, applied and inter-disciplinary research and have particular strengths in robotics, computer vision, social computing, image engineering and many aspects of computer gaming.
Students can work on one of the 50 plus titles suggested by our staff. Examples of these are available on request. Alternatively, they can discuss an idea of their own with a member of staff and gain their approval to supervise it. Students are encouraged to look at the staff pages on the School website to discover what areas of research the tutors are currently involved in. Also the School’s research centre sites (www.lincoln.ac.uk/mht/research- technology) can provide inspiration for projects. Students will need to produce an outline proposal and be matched with an appropriate supervisory team.
