Diploma Land-based Engineering Level 2

Diploma 1 Year Agriculture, Equine and Riseholme College Riseholme - Lincoln A minimum of 4 GCSE's at grade D or above, to include English, Maths and Science

Introduction

Please note: This course, previously the First Diploma in Land-based Technology, is now the Level 2 Diploma in Land-based Engineering.

The Diploma in Land-based Technology is designed to support young people wishing to enter a wide range of careers, from maintaining agricultural machinery to advising businesses on the latest advances in land-based technology.

This exciting one year programme prepares you for a career in agricultural engineering, and has been designed to develop a wide range of knowledge and technical skills required in the fast developing land-based sector.

Students on this course are sponsored by the Lincolnshire Agricultural Machinery Manufacturers Association (LAMMA) scholarship to the value of £500, to assist them with the purchase of specialist tools and equipment related to their course.

Entry Requirements

A minimum of 4 GCSE's at grade D or above, to include English, Maths and Science. You must also demonstrate a good standard of literacy and numeracy.  All applicants must be at least 16 years of age on entry. Other equivalent qualifications may be considered.

Students will study on a full-time basis utilising the wide range of modern facilities available at Riseholme College. The range of work and skills developed will meet the needs of land-based employers.
