Introduction

This course has been designed to provide you with all the necessary skills and knowledge for entry into the profession, and will provide a good grounding in all technical aspects of tree management.  After completion of this intense and practical based programme of learning, involving all aspects of arboriculture, you will be able to become a valuable and competent team member with any organisation that is responsible for conducting arboricultural operations on a professional basis.

Entry Requirements

A minimum of 4 GCSE's at grade C or above to include English Language, Maths and Science or a Level 2 qualification / National Certificate with a merit profile in a related discipline. You must also demonstrate a good standard of literacy and numeracy.  All applicants must be at least 16 years of age on entry. Applicants with suitable industrial experience or background will also be considered.

How Will You Be Assessed?

You will be taught through a combination of formal lectures, practical design work and case studies.  Your progress will be monitored continuously throughout the programme, using a combination of assignments and practical assessments.

What Can You Do After The Course?

Successful students could go on to find employment in the arboricultural industry. The course can also help students set up their own business or progress to a higher level course.
