We undergo the same rigorous external validations, are governed by the same regulations and adhere to the same guidelines that other universities are regulated by.

Our courses and teaching are inspected by the same Quality Assurance Agency and we have never failed an inspection. The university has achieved the highest possible rating in its two recent Quality Assurance Agency (QAA) inspections. Particular features of good practice and future planning were highlighted:

• The academic and personal support available to students;
• The use being made of programme specifications to articulate learning outcomes and criteria of assessment;
• The university’s constructive relationship with its local partner colleges.
