What's Next

Congratulations on your offer of a place at the University of Lincoln. This page explains what your offer means and what you need to do next.

What Your Offer Means

Conditional Offer

A conditional offer from the University of Lincoln means that your place is subject to you meeting certain conditions, which are usually based on your exam results. For example, if you are currently studying for A Levels or a BTEC National Diploma, we will have asked that you achieve specific grades.

Unconditional Offer

An unconditional offer means that you have already met our entry requirements. However, this offer may specify other requirements, such as an enhanced CRB check for some courses, before you can enrol.

Replying to Your Offer

Once you have received your offer you can accept it using UCAS Track. Please note the deadlines set by UCAS. If you do not reply to your offers by the set date, your application will be unsuccessful.

There are three ways in which you can reply to your offers:

Firm Acceptance

This should be your first choice from all the offers you have. You can only make this reply once.

Insurance Acceptance

An insurance acceptance is your second choice university. This means if you do not meet the conditions of your first choice, but do for your insurance, then you will be accepted there instead. Please be aware that if you meet the conditions of your first choice then this will invalidate your insurance place.

Decline

Once you have decided on your firm and insurance choices, you must decline all other offers.

Your Exam Results

If you have made the University of Lincoln your first choice, your place will be confirmed once your exam results are released. You will usually be able to see whether you have met our entry requirements and if your place has been confirmed on UCAS Track.

When you have accepted your place here, UCAS will send us the results of your exams.

If you don’t receive the grades you were expecting, please contact our Admissions team on +44 (0)1522 886097 or
admissions@lincoln.ac.uk, who will advise you accordingly.

Your Enrolment

Once your place at the University of Lincoln has been confirmed, you will be sent an enrolment pack giving further details of Welcome Week. The Students’ Union will also send you information about the activities and entertainment on offer for freshers. Enrolment packs are usually sent at the end of August.

Term Dates

A list of term dates is available on our Academic Calander.

Updating Your Personal Details

If any of your personal details have changed since you made your application, you will need to update them through UCAS Track. Alternatively, you can call the Customer Service Unit at UCAS on 0871 468 0468. They will then pass on any changes to your chosen universities.
