Recruitment of New Advisory Board Members

The Lincoln International Business School is located on the stunning Brayford Pool campus in the heart of the historic city of Lincoln. It is a College that is culturally diverse, internationally minded, and committed to providing an educational experience that enhances careers and enables individuals and businesses to create successful futures. It is ambitious in its plan for growth both nationally and internationally whilst maintaining high levels of student success and satisfaction. 

The Lincoln International Business School Advisory Board comprises of dedicated external professionals from a range of backgrounds who volunteer their time, knowledge and expertise to advise, support and challenge our College Leadership Team. Their aim is to assist the College Leadership Team in successfully achieving their key performance indicators and aspirations. 

Board Members meet formally four times per academic year, taking part in discussions and offering impartial advice based on operational and strategic themes. Members are also encouraged to participate in other occasions, for example, interviews for senior posts, College meetings and social events. 

About the Role

We would like to increase the size of our Board from its current membership of eight to ensure that it is fully representative and equipped to support the Lincoln International Business School in its development and growth. 

We are looking for Board Members from all fields of life, (aged 18+), who have a real passion for higher education; a commitment to join us for a minimum of four meetings per year, willing to fulfil a term of three years and who have knowledge and/or experience in one or more of the following fields: 

  • Working within education (primary, secondary and higher), training and skills. 
  • Research 
  • International business and partnerships 
  • PR/Marketing 
  • Digital technology and online learning 
  • Engagement with or access to local, national and international businesses. 
  • Third Sector 
  • Entrepreneurialism and innovation 

This is a non-remunerated role, however, as a Board member, we can offer you an opportunity to continue your own professional development by joining an aspiring and ambitious College within the University of Lincoln. You will have the opportunity to listen to visiting speakers and lecturers whilst having the chance to network with likeminded individuals.
