Lincoln School of Film & Media has forged a reputation for excellence built on outstanding facilities and staff, a diverse portfolio of programmes, strong relationships with the sector and graduates who are equipped with the skills and experience required for a successful career in these competitive industries. The programmes offered by the School place an emphasis on practical production alongside theory. From the beginning of their course, students begin producing original material, building up an extensive professional portfolio in preparation for future employment opportunities.

The School has strong links with influential media and film organisations including the BBC, Panasonic, Microsoft, BAFTA and the British Film Institute, which create opportunities for work experience and networking.

Students work in industry-standard, purpose-built facilities, including Two HD Television studios with LED lighting systems, Three radio studios, 15 Video Editing suites, a 24 channel HD digital multi-track music and performance recording studio, Photographic studio with digital studio cameras. Purpose built 5.1 surround sound dubbing theatre, Multimedia Design and Digital Production suites, Extensive video and audio editing and post-production facilities. All students receive a free Adobe Creative Cloud licence. The School is also home to the Media Archive for Central England [MACE] and a range of excellent resources, including several special collections, can be found in the University’s award-winning library.
