Welcome to the Artificial Intelligence and Control Group (AICG)
The Artificial Intelligence and Control Research Group (AICG) conducts fundamental and applied research in Artificial Intelligence and Advanced Control across a wide variety of market sectors and application areas.
Much
of our work is concerned with the optimisation of highly complex
control systems, often with multiple objectives to be satisfied.
The group specialises in the application of search techniques
such as Multi-Objective Genetic Algorithms and Simulated
Annealing, combined with AI techniques such as Fuzzy Logic and
Artificial Immune systems, to real-life, real-time problems
across the engineering spectrum. The group’s work has been
applied to the Aeronautical, Automotive, Bio-Engineering, Built
Environment and many other sectors. In particular, the group is
currently conducting research projects in Energy Efficiency,
Carbon and Emissions Reduction,
and Power Optimisation.
If you are a company who would like to explore more about collaborative research in the field of Artificial Intelligence and Control please feel free to contact us.
