I
am a PhD student who started in autumn 2005. My time is
split between the Departments of Psychology and Biological
Sciences, and my supervisors are Dr Emile Van Der Zee and
Prof. Daniel Mills. Previously I have conducted research
into linearity of hierarchical structure in feral goats,
categorization of concepts in dogs and spatial cognition &
motivation in sheep. I have also worked for several years as
a pet behaviourist.
Qualifications:
I have a BSc 2.i. (hons) in
Behavioural Science from the University of Nottingham and an MSc
(distinction) in Animal Behaviour from the University of Exeter.
My specialist research area is canine cognition - specifically, the ability of dogs to understand and use linguistic prepositions (such as above/below, high/low, left/right etc.)
