Taught Masters Degree in Clinical Animal Behaviour
This degree
will be run on a full time basis and will follow a
problem oriented approach based
largely on case studies. It will be supervised by a team of
tutors who are experienced in the field of clinical animal
behaviour. The course will be led by Prof Daniel Mills, the only
RCVS registered specialist in the field of behaviour in the UK.
Prof Mills has undertaken extensive research in the fields of
behaviour, learning and training in animals. Helen Zulch, the
second full time veterinarian in the department, also has
extensive experience in the field of behaviour and training.
Support tutors have post graduate qualifications in behaviour
and welfare and thus are well placed to offer a balanced and
applicable degree.
Situated on the Riseholme campus of the university, just north of the city and incorporating a behaviour clinic, facilities are ideal for meeting the needs of the course. The course will be structured to ensure that practical skills are developed at the same time that up to date information is conveyed.
