Feline Behavioural Problems

In a survey of normal cats the following behaviours were reported (n = 120)
(Morgan & Houpt 1990)

  • 60% furniture scratch
  • 42% eat plants
  • 36% aggressive to other cats
  • 25% steal food
  • 16% housesoil
  • 16% inconvenient vocalisation
  • 12% aggressive to people
  • 7% chew fabric
  • various others

But these are not the same as the problems reported for behaviour therapy, which are illustrated below
