There are also many ways you can make a valuable contribution to the development of our students, such as:

  • Giving presentations to students to raise the profile of your organisation
  • Running a student workshop or drop-in session
  • Taking part in an employer Podcast or short film for our website

Projects and Placements

Our students are bursting with new ideas and are enthusiastic to apply them in the world of work. So employers with vacancies or projects stand to gain from enterprising people with fresh perspectives.

Student placements

Many Lincoln courses include placement requirements. As an employer you will benefit from up to date skills and knowledge ranging from business administration to rapid prototyping and more. If you are in a knowledge-intensive business or recruit graduate talent full-time what better way could there be to try-before-you-buy than a project placement to get to know one another?

Placements - what's in it for you?

  • Benefit from an 'extended interview' for future company employees;
  • Gain an intelligent, motivated, cost-effective labour resource with valuable skills, knowledge and fresh ideas;
  • Projects which otherwise would not be done due to a shortage of resources can be moved forward;
  • Find a solution to short term staff shortages;
  • Connect to university expertise through a student's academic supervisor;
  • For every £1 spent on a student placement the average employer return is £6
